I don't think this is possible. You can ask manager from the new LE to forward to other manager. If you get any other option do share with us. You can also try to enable option to get approval from managers of all assignments and check if this works for global transfer case.

Since it is a acquisition, you will only try to map data of acquired company as much as possible with existing setup, so you only need to checking whatever existing setups are there and HDL files required for them.
Usually you go through the data of acquired companies and try to map them (after deciding cutoff date) with Document of Record, Additional Person Flex fields or Assignment flex fields if the data cannot mapped with standard delivered fields.
