  1. Hi @Anshul, You can associate employees only to department and not divisions. If a hierarchy needs to be build, I guess you can create division, sections and sub-sections as department only so that you can associate employees with them and build the hierarchy. Thanks

    Hi Kalyani

What do you want to know. Through the display feature you control how different fields on absence types get displayed.

For example, you want your employee to compulsorily enter absence reason while scheduling absence then you can first enable this field and make it mandatory. You further get option to make it mandatory for employees, line managers, Administrator only or for all.

There are several other option, you can go through one by one and try to explore yourself. They are self explanatory. If you have question about any specific field, please let us know here.

In the context of Oracle HCM (Human Capital Management), position and job refer to different aspects of an employee’s role within an organization.

Position: A position in Oracle HCM refers to a specific role or title within an organization that has distinct responsibilities and requirements. It’s like a unique slot in the company’s organizational structure. A position typically has a set of duties, qualifications, and responsibilities associated with it.

Job: A job, on the other hand, is a more general classification of work. It describes a type of work that can be done across different positions. A job represents a group of positions that share similar responsibilities, skills, and tasks.

In summary, a position is a specific role with its own unique requirements and responsibilities, while a job is a broader category that encompasses similar roles with common tasks and skills.

If you are asking from the configurations point of view, when you create a job its available across all business units, but when you create a position, it is specific to a business unit. Not many organization uses both. Position is used by some specific industries.
