Hi @Vaishnavi You can either do it through absence validation formula. Or you can go to Display Feature section of the absence type and achieve it through option "Occurrence limit rule"

ideally it's not possible to send notification to any one if the transaction has failed. please check you entered connect transaction I'd while running diagnostic report. If there are multiple rules, you can try to first disable all and active one by one to check which is causing issue.

What do you want to know. Through the display feature you control how different fields on absence types get displayed.
For example, you want your employee to compulsorily enter absence reason while scheduling absence then you can first enable this field and make it mandatory. You further get option to make it mandatory for employees, line managers, Administrator only or for all.
