Question 1 : What is the use of donation plan and why do we need it?
Answer : Donation Plan is one of several absence plan types offered by Oracle Absence Management. This plan enables employees to donate some or all of their accrual plan balances to colleagues who may need them. This feature is particularly useful when a worker exhausts their accrual balance due to prolonged illness or other reasons. Instead of losing wages, other colleagues can come forward and donate their accrual balance to the employee in need.
Donation Plan is a great way to foster a sense of community within the workplace and promote teamwork. It not only benefits the employee in need, but also builds a culture of support and generosity among colleagues. Additionally, this feature helps employers retain their workforce by providing a safety net for employees facing unforeseen circumstances that may affect their ability to work.
Overall, the Donation Plan is an essential feature of Oracle Absence Management that promotes employee well-being and enhances the overall productivity of the organization.

Answer :When configuring the Donation Absence Plan, you will have the option to select all available types of Unit of Measure (UOM) from the list of values. However, it is important to note that only two types of UOM are supported for Donation Plans: Hours and Days.
The UOM that should be selected when configuring the donation plan primarily depends on the accrual plan on which the Donation Plan is dependent.
